Talks on AI and strategy: a panel at ExFest and a keynote at the AI Lessons Unlearned event.

Panel at ExFest

I was a panellist in a discussion on the agentic economy. I took a sceptical position: I spoke about accountability gaps, geopolitical risk in AI infrastructure and designing for resilience.

Keynote at AI Lessons Unlearned

At AI Lessons Unlearned, an event following ExFest, I gave the keynote "Who will deliver your 2030 strategy?" on how to plan for competitiveness when AI keeps changing what is possible.

The talk opened the evening. My thesis: we are no longer in Kennedy's era, when there was a goal and the technology was missing. Today it is the other way round: we have the technology, but we do not yet know what we can really do with it. I told the story of Sagres, the R&D centre where Prince Henry the Navigator brought people from very different worlds to one table, which led to Vasco da Gama sailing around Africa. The conclusion for today: every organisation needs its own Sagres, a space where people from different silos can think together about things that do not exist yet.
